Annual conference & bookfair: the awp conference is the annual destination for Writers, teachers, students, editors, and publishers of contemporary creative Writing. It includes thousands of attendees, hundreds of events and bookfair exhibitors, and four days of essential literary craft conversation and celebration.
Membership services - awp offers individual and organizational membership. Individual benefits include access to opportunities for publishing, networking, and career development. There are four categories of organizational membership: institutional serves academic creative Writing Programs at accredited colleges and universities (four-year colleges and graduate Programs), wc&c serves Writers' conferences, centers, festivals, retreats, and residencies that provide educational opportunities or retreats for aspiring Writers, affiliate serves two-year community colleges and technical schools, and high school serves public and private schools that offer creative Writing.
Publications: for over four decades, the writer'Writers's chronicle has served as a leading source of articles, news, and information for Writers, editors, students, and teachers of Writing. Published four times during the academic year, the chronicle provides diverse insights into the art of Writing that are accessible, pragmatic, and idealistic. Each issue features in-depth essays on the craft of Writing, as well as extensive interviews with accomplished authors. Readers can also find news on publishing trends and literary controversies; a listing of grants, awards, and publication opportunities available to Writers; and a list of upcoming conferences for Writers.
