Legislative - atpe lobbies the state legislature and provides regular information to members via its legislative alert network. Political involvement training is given to its members to help them learn to be politically aware and active
Publications - publications of newsletters to keep members informed about their profession, as well as legislative developments
Annual convention - atpe holds an annual convention (house of delegates) to conduct Association business (update bylaws, resolutions, set direction of service and activities) and provide Professional development sessions.
Professional development-offers members a variety of learning opportunities such as hands-on interactive workshops and discussion/study groups on a variety of learning opportunities.
Public relations - responsible for promoting the Association's positions, events and activities to all entities that have a stake in public education.
