Association of Public Broadcasting Stations of New York

Enabled nine Public television Stations and eight Public radio Stations to maintain their New York state funding at meaningful levels thereby insuring the continuation of station education programs and services. An example of a current education program or service offered by these Stations is pbs learningmedia ny, a web based education service used in the classroom and made available free of charge to New York state's 269,000 k-12 teachers and 3.3 million k-12 students and their parents.

Worked closely with the commissioner of education and state education department staff to demonstrate that Public Broadcasting has the capacity to help New York state achieve its education goals.

Held informational meetings with state legislators, legislative staff, and executive chamber and executive agency staff to highlight station education programs and services and the power and flexibility of the state's Public Broadcasting Stations.
