Arts for La provided information about the creative economy and cultural policy issues to over 75,000 subscribers of our website and social media platforms. Arts for las work centers around connecting the Arts & culture sector, leadership development of Arts workers, and learning by investing in research initiatives. We planned and executed one year-long outreach and education campaign, #artsmakela, designed to inform los angeles county on the value of the Arts in the region. We coordinated regional media campaigns to build awareness of the issues that impact the creative sector in los angeles, and act as a spokesperson for the Arts and creative sector in the region. We continue to serve as a trusted resource for the media, government agencies, officials and the sector at-large. Arts for La led one series of region-wide community listening sessions that engaged 356 participants through a total of 9 meetings in facilitated conversations designed to help Arts for La better understand the challenges of the Arts and culture sector and to continue to be responsive to the primary issues of the field. Additionally, in february of 2022, Arts for La published, las performing Arts and reopening survey which provided a deeper understanding of the current needs of las performing Arts organizations and offered a comparative look at how the needs of these organizations have changed over time. We trained 68 community members across the three tracks of our activate leadership development program. Through our activate delegates track, we trained participants to understand the political process and how to be civically engaged in los angeles. Through our activate emerging Arts leaders track we helped participants ideate and execute targeted community engagement programs for the emerging Arts leader community of los angeles. Through our activate protege track, participants received personalized professional development through one-on-one mentorships with seasoned Arts and culture leaders. These 68 community members joined an activate alumni network of nearly 600 individuals that Arts for La continues to engage in support of artists, Arts workers, and Arts organizations across the los angeles region. Additionally, we educated 665 educators, parents, community members on the importance of Arts education and why it is important for Arts education to be included in learning continuity and attendance plans for school districts. We also convened 245 attendees, representing 150+ organizations, through our annual summit, known as the state of the Arts summit.
