Program areas at Arts Council Okc

Since 1967, the festival of the Arts has served as the state's largest fine Arts festival with an attendance of more than 550,000 in 6 days. The event, which is free to the public, features 144 artists from across the country, live performing Arts entertainment on two stages, street performances, international cuisine from 30 vendors, extensive and engaging programming for youth, and interactive art activities for all ages. Festival of the Arts is the single largest funding source for all other Arts Council Okc programs.
All access Arts reaches more than 5,000 youth and seniors each year. This program consists of several projects that provide Arts education for at-risk and underserved communities the throughout Oklahoma City metro area. Aaa is possible through numerous partnerships with community agencies and offers high-quality, in-depth, multidisciplinary Arts instruction and performance. For many participants, these programs are their only access to the Arts. In addition to these projects, aaa also provides teens with productive leadership opportunities in the Arts through its teen Arts Council.
Since 1987, opening night has provided a place for families and friends to enjoy the performing Arts and to celebrate the new year. The Arts Council Okc keeps admission costs low and the quality of performing Arts high for approximately 10000 people who attend each year. Performers take the stage throughout the night at 9 different stages and as the midnight hour approaches, revelers enjoy a special finale countdown complete with the traditional opening night ball and one of the state's largest fireworks shows.
Art moves is a pop-up art experience that takes place every weekday at the lunch hour throughout the downtown Okc metro area. Out of the box is a program designed to help street performers obtain proper licensing and get hired to legally perform at local events.

Artisans is a youth leadership group designed to educate, promote and support the Arts in the young professionals market.
Summer twilight concert series provides a free 2-hour art experience once a week during the summer to the general public. The event encompasses all forms of art and each week features a different artist.
