PUBLIC ART: Unframed is a multi-mural exhibition of large scale artwork in Downtown New Orleans. Young Artist Movement (YAM) engages youth, artists, and communities in public art and place-making across New Orleans. Gentilly Resilience District is a combination of efforts across Gentilly to reduce flood risk, slow land subsidence, improve energy reliability and encourage neighborhood revitalization; Arts Council is facilitating the public art component of the project. Salon is a partnership with Canal Place to offer free studio and exhibition space in a retail storefront. Luna Fete is a free and open to the putlic festival of light, art, and technology which celebrates New Orleans creative industries.
LUNA FETE/BALL: LUNA Fete is New Orleans' annual festival of light, art, and technology and the nation's longest running projection mapping festival. LUNA Fete is a visionary initiative created by Arts New Orleans to demonstrate the power of art to transform communities. This free and open to the public festival celebrates New Orleans creative industries and provides a memorable experience for more than 100,000 diverse event attendees.
ARTIST SERVICES: Grant Programs funded by the City of New Orleans and Louisiana Division of the Arts are administered by the Arts Council and are used to fund artist, arts organizaitons, and art projects and programs. Arts Market is a monthly free open-air marketplace of artwork made by New Orleans and Gulf Coasts artists.
