Program areas at Artportunity Knocks
Boost program: an invaluable initiative supported by the Georgia department of education, the boost program offers more than 700 students tuition-free access to our enriching afterschool and summer programs. This funding has been pivotal in allowing us to extend our reach into two additional counties in Georgia, furthering our mission to empower youth through arts and education.
Youth arts program: funded by the fulton county arts council, this program ensures that students have no-cost access to a diverse array of arts education opportunities. By removing financial barriers to participation, we open doors for young people to explore their creativity, develop new skills, and engage in artistic expression in a supportive environment.
With the expansion into albany, Georgia, we achieved an all-time high number of students enrolled in our summer camp, reaching 106 students. The program culminated in four events showcasing students' proficiency across multiple artistic disciplines. Additionally, the introduction of new art forms like culinary arts, chinese folk art, and music production enriched the learning experience.
Educational, gca - art program: this grant supported the new saturday creative careers academy and expanded art forms in the afterschool and summer programs, including culinary arts, chinese folk art, and music production. United way: for the albany location, united way funding made tuition-free summer programming available to 56 students.
