The same connective database that powers pug's calendar and map is used to develop an inclusive artist directory. Mixed media happy hours: spirited events designed to engage and build collaboration among the artists and the entire creative community. Develop: Artlink artist council (aac): formed in 2017, the Artlink artist council is comprised of established professional artists who work in partnership with Artlink to elevate the profile of phoenix's creative community. Promote: *phxfridays: Artlink provides the official map and transportation to the downtown arts districts for phoenix's famed first fridays as well as ongoing promotion for the openings/exhibitions for third friday's "gallery night." First and third fridays were unfortunately paused by the covid-19 pandemic during the 2021 fiscal year; however, the first fridays art walk hosted by Artlink has since resumed in august 2021.art detour/art d'core gala: art detour is phoenix's original art walk event, launched by artists in downtown phoenix in 1989. It grew into a phx art week as an all-inclusive celebration of art, creativity and culture that features studio tours and exhibitions throughout the valley. In light of the ongoing covid-19 restrictions on events and gatherings, Artlink expanded the duration and the geographical boundaries of this spring celebration of creativity in all of its forms in order to increase opportunities for both in-person and online art experiences, while taking into account the need to maintain social distancing. The annual art d'core gala was unfortunately cancelled during the 2021 fiscal year due to the covid-19 pandemic.juried exhibition: for the 20th year celebration of the Artlink juried exhibition, a dedicated panel of gallerists, curators and artists representing the visual arts, the performing arts, and fashion design participated in curating the largest multi-media showcase ever organized by Artlink Inc. The panel selected 48 inspired works from the 450 pieces that were submitted for consideration.
