Program areas at Artadia the Fund for Art and Dialogue

Founded in 1997, Artadia is a nonprofit grantmaker and nationwide community of visual artists, curators, and patrons. The organization annually identifies artists whose meritsdefined as a high-level of artistic excellence, rigorous practice, and clear artistic voice demonstrate theyve reached a pivotal moment in their practice. Artadia elevates the careers of these artists through a proven combination of recognition, grantmaking, community support, and advocacy. Artadia has two main programs: Artadia Awards: The Artadia Award program encompasses seven major U.S. cities: Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area. The Awards program identifies culturally underrepresented artists through a competitive process that convenes a rotating committee of curators as jurors, and annually supports at least 22 visual artists with $15,000 each in unrestricted funds. Artadia Awards serve visual artists, with consideration for the support these artists need to thrive and succeed regardless of backgroundin a more just arts economy. Artadia Network:Launched in January 2021, the Artadia Network connects artists with arts professionals so they can sustain their thriving practices. Through one-on-one meetings and workshops, the Network supports Artadia Awardees beyond the financial, through discourse, connectivity, and resource-sharing around artistic practice, wage-earning solutions, and other opportunities. Artadia also acts as a fiscal sponsor grant-making agent for a host of artist projects and sponsorships.
