Program areas at Art 180

In 2020 ART 180 conducted 47 programs in creative expression for 416 eight-to-18 year olds led by more than 81 artists. We engaged with 30 partners who work with a variety of young people in challenging circumstances to run multi-week, after-school arts programs. We delivered 940 program hours from community-based programs, in partnership with schools and youth-serving organizations; and teen program at Atlas, our youth art center and gallery. ART 180 Program Leaders incorporated the theme 'Breathe' to address self-care through mindfulness, social injustice and how the act of breathing gives us space. In March and April 2020, ART 180 programs moved online in response to sites closing due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. ART 180 programs remained online for the remainder of 2020.
