Since 1994, Arlington Free Clinic (afc) has provided vital, comprehensive, patient-centered healthcare to Arlington county adults living without health insurance. Afc is supported by a loyal donor community and care is provided by over 400 volunteers, 49 full/part-time staff, and referral partners in the community. Afc patients earn below 200% of the federal poverty level and are disproportionately impacted by factors such as food insecurity and unstable housing. Afc addresses this by providing a wide range of health care options, including medical, dental, behavioral health, pharmacy and social supports, while concurrently working upstream to effect lasting, systems-level change.
