Arizona Humanities Council creates opportunities for the public to explore shared human experiences through educational programs and community conversations. In 2020, we awarded congressional cares act funds to fifty-nine non profit organizations statewide facing financial hardship during covid-19. Our programs include in-person and virtual offerings as well as smithsonian traveling exhibits.

Program areas at Arizona Humanities Council

In 2020, Arizona Humanities awarded congressional cares act funds to fifty-nine non profit organizations statewide that were facing financial hardship due to covid-19. We provided in-person and virtual programs and smithsonian traveling exhibits exploring waterways and the history of voting and democracy in the u.s. to over 14,400 participants. We also used new technology to deliver thirty-four virtual programs to 1600 teen, adult, and indigenous participants in rural and urban communities across Arizona.
