Archaeological Institute of America fosters greater understanding of the record of human past, promotes public appreciation and supports archaeologists, their societies and national lecture program. The headquarters annually sponsors national lectures for each society despite a reduced capacity due to the COVID-19 epidemic in FY2021. Professional services include scholarships, fellowships and grants for excavation, research and scholarly publishing aimed at supporting and promoting Archaeological research and its dissemination from Boston, MA.

Archaeology magazine:our greatest outreach tool is our award-winning popular magazine which entered its seventh decade of publication committed to bringing the excitement of Archaeological discovery to a popular audience. Filled with incisive articles, colorful graphics, and stunning photos, each of archaeology's bimonthly issues is enjoyed by nearly 650,000 readers worldwide.
American journal of archaeology:the american journal of archaeology is one of the world's most distinguished and widely distributed Archaeological journals. It was founded in 1885 and is a leader in ground-breaking articles on archaeology and thoughtful book and museum exhibition reviews. Circulation of the aja reaches more than 40 countries and over 700 universities, learned societies, departments of antiquities, and museums.
Societies and national lecture program :aia headquarters sponsors national lectures annually for each society. But the heart of every aia society is the locally planned programs' field trips, local tours, symposia, film festivals, and study groups-as well as additional lectures organized independently by each society. Society members enjoy a full program of activities throughout the year that serve to foster and enhance their interest in archaeology. Our most popular educational activity, the national lecture program connects practicing archaeologists with nearly 20,000 people each year for stimulating one-on-one discussion.
