Apprentice Learning believes that every young person should be empowered to pursue a fulfilling work life. Our programs leverage career exploration to teach skills and to nurture dreams. Apprentice Learning provides real-world work experiences for middle school students. We leverage career exploration to teach skills and to nuture dreams. Apprentice Learning is an educational progam for middle school students that offers exposure to the culture of work through short apprenticeships.

Program areas at Apprentice Learning

Apprentice Learning serves over 450 youth per year in partnership with five boston public schools in dorchester, jamaica plain, and roxbury. Unique among middle school career programs, Apprentice Learning is integrated into the school day beginning in the seventh grade, leading to a workplace-based apprenticeship in eighth grade, and to paid summer and after-school internship opportunities and job referrals for rising and current ninth grade students.
