Program areas at Anne Arundel County Watershed Stewards Academy

WSA manages restoration projects ranging from small conservation landscapes to large stream restoration. Restoration activities include site assessments, designs, permitting, installation, maintenance and monitoring of these projects.
WSA offers many types of engagement and educational programs including: (1) Master Watershed Steward Certification Course includes 70 hours of field and classroom learning to provide community leaders with the skills and resources to lead their neighborhoods, schools and congregations to reduce pollution through RainScaping or Habits that Help; (2) Short Courses such as Stormwater Success, a course for HOA leaders and property managers on stormwater management project maintenance; (3)Spring into Action Annual Conference: The Conference gathers over 200 leaders and restoration professionals to learn, network and plan restoration projects; (3) Continuing Education and Engagement Programs offered on a variety of topics from native plants, living shorelines and site assessments.
