Program Achievements Data is summarized using the fiscal year calendar April 2019 to April 2020 :Animal Aid Unlimited enables the work of the Animal Aid hospital and rescue service in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India as the regions only hospital and rescue center for street animals. Our helpline received 25,081 calls for rescue requests, an average of 69 calls per day. We rescued 13,775 ownerless animals from Udaipur and nearby villages. We admitted 11,182 animals into our hospital for treatment: 8,400 dogs; 1,493 cows and bulls and, 1,289 donkeys, cats and other animals. We vaccinated every animal admitted against rabies and other common diseases. We completed 1,255 on site visits to provide medical treatment to animals in their neighbourhoods. Capital projects included shelter improvements such as new isolation and puppy wards, installation of big generator, overhaul of all electricity. Spay-Neuter and Rabies Prevention: spayed and neutered 1,562 dogs. We inoculated 2,119 dogs during rabies prevention drives (in addition to all dogs admitted for treatment) Visitors and Volunteers - We welcomed 3,422 visitors and volunteers from all over the world. After 31 March 2020 program paused due to Covid.Sanctuary - Animal Aid is the permanent home for more than 150 animals of all species. Community Outreach and Education - We welcomed 3,422 visitors and volunteers from all over the world. After 30 March 2020 program paused due to Covid. Our rescue videos were watched by over 580 million people from around the world, with 100 million of those views coming from India itself. We presented in the FIAPO Bootcamp held in Ahmedabad, and in TedX in Pune, and gave interviews with vloggers around the world.Covid street animal feeding: During the first 6 weeks of Udaipurs lockdown, we fed 500 animals a day within the city limits.Cruelty Prevention - In 2019-20 our Cruelty Response Officer responded to 114 cases of cruelty to animals, reporting to the police and conducting cruelty prevention education.
