The University is a comprehensive university affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist Convention offering bachelors, masters, and doctorate degrees. Located on approximately 313 acres in the upstate region of South Carolina near the foothills of the Appalachians, the University features a rigorous education in a supportive Christian atmosphere. The main sources of revenue are tuition, fee, and auxiliary enterprise income as well as contributions from the public. The Organization also offers 14 master degrees and 6 graduate certificate programs in the fields of business, Christian studies, criminal justice, education, music education, and nursing and 5 doctoral programs: Doctor of Ministry, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership, and Doctor of Education.HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 2021-2022 FISCAL YEARU.S. News & World Report Best Colleges 2022 Ranks the University in Four Categories. The University ranks #44 among regional universities in the South, and was named to the publication's "Best Undergraduate Teaching" (#15) and "Best Value" (#29) lists for 2022, along with being noted for excellence in a student's "First Year Experience." The University is ranked #26 in the country among all universities (public and private) for Student Engagement by the Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education. The University was named to the Honor Roll of the Prestigious Great Colleges to Work For Program. It is one of just two universities in South Carolina named to that list--and was named the #5 Top Workplace among large companies throughout South Carolina by the Greenville Business Magazine. The University experienced major gains in its online program rankings, further solidifying its place among some of the best online programs in the nation, according to the U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings for 2022. Clamp Divinity to Launch Ph.D. in Preaching Fall 2022. The University's Clamp Divinity School has announced plans to launch a Doctor of Philosophy in Preaching degree program beginning in the Fall semester 2022. The University Begins Construction on Trojan Football Operations Center. In preparation for the inaugural season of Trojan Football, the University began construction of its new Football Operations Center. Construction of the 45,000-square-foot facility is scheduled to conclude ahead of the 2023-2024 academic year. The first University Trojan Football season is scheduled to begin in 2024. The University is an NCAA Division II program within the South Atlantic Conference (SAC.)
Other Program Revenue includes but is not limited to commissions from sales of student related items, Perkins debt service, ticket sales for athletic and theatre events, and magazine subscription revenue.
Auxiliary enterprises exist to furnish goods or services to students, faculty, staff, or incidentally to the general public. Fees charged for auxiliary enterprises are priced to offset the cost of the goods or services provided. The distinguishing characteristic of auxiliary enterprises is that they are managed as an essentially self-supporting activity. Auxiliary enterprises revenue includes activities for student housing and dining facilities.
