Program areas at Andanza
The Dance company and its professional dancers present contemporary dance performances in different venues, including theaters and open spaces. The Company has various inititatives such as Andanza en el Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, three open-air performances offered for free to the audience each Christmas since 2004 at the Museum of Contemporary Art. Andanza Universitaria includes performances, talks and workshops at universities. Andanza por el país includes open-air presentations in public parks and plazas.
The Dance School has a complete educational program. Professors offer dance classes at Andanza own studios and present performances with the students. Through a program called Danza con Andanza, the teachers visit disadvantaged communities to offer weekly dance workshops. Performances at the communities, scholarships at the school and free tickets for the theater presentations are also offered.
