Amor Healing Kitchen

Home meal delivery program - Amor Healing Kitchen provides nutritious meals for people who are under a doctor's care and facing serious health challenges. The meals are delivered once a week to the clients' homes and are provided free of charge for approximately 80% of the recipients who are in need of financial assistance. Over 50% of the clients are facing a cancer diagnosis with the remaining battling type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, or several other comorbidities. In 2023, the program delivered over 18,500 meals to the community.

Community cooking classes and outreach - Amor Healing Kitchen provides cooking classes to the local community and partners with local nonprofit organizations to bring cooking classes to the underserved youth. These classes teach basic techniques, how to incorporate seasonal vegetables, and introduce nutrition concepts. In 2023, 4 community classes and 4 youth classes were hosted.

Teen chef program - Amor Healing Kitchen brings in high school volunteers to the Kitchen to teach them valuable cooking skills and the value of service while preparing the clients' meals. They commit to volunteering for a minimum of one semester. In 2023, approximately 56 high school students participated in the program.
