To provide 135 Orphaned and deprived Children with home, Health and education Through College / Vocational School to help them become independent and productive Members of their communities. We highly value the role that education plays in the future and strive to maximize their abilities and reach their possible education level. The Niños de Cristo Orphanage launched three projects with the aim of increasing income and improving the appearance of the home facilities, these projects are:.Internship Program: For this project, we get in contasct with the directors of the differenct hotels in bayahibe / La Romana to our young people of legal age, who finish high school were inserted in the work area to learn and also develop their skills and knowledge.. Thanks to this program we have 5 of our young people working in the Hilton Hotel.. Being my sponsor: we continue working so all our children could have a sponsor who help them with their basic needs and motivate them to be better. Refurbishment of our facilities: For this year an improvement was made to our facilities, the kitchen was remodeled, a beauty salon was set up, and art room was set up, a dental clinic was set up, among other areas.. University and graduate scholaarship: One of our biggest successes this year was to get two of our young to graduate from high school, and were immidiately admitted to college. Etefany Echavarria began her career in System Engineering. Emmanuel Echavarria began his career in the Hospitality.EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS:. Arts and crafts roomMonday, Wednsday, Thursday from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PMTaught by Mrs. Wilcania Guerrero (Zuleika)in charge of directing and assisting the girls in the design process.Arts and crafts room (by my hands) is the name of the new t-shirt designs which specify which girls in particular has designed it.Purpose: To create in the girls a sense of creativity, dynamism and responsibility at the same time that it gives them a little economic independence and also to contribute financially to the foundation.{} Painting program:Saturday, Thursday from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AMpart of education programs, we set up an art workshop, a space where girls who like painting can learn.{} English classessaturdays 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM The English language is very important in the workplace and communicative.The purpose: is that girls can have more opportunities.{} Reading, writing, and reinforcement roomMonday to Fryday from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PMTaught by Mrs. LuisaSpecially commissioned to help each of the girls who need to strengthen the intellect of it.Purpose: to instill in girls the habit of reading and writing and to help them improve their academic grade. - Reinforce in all the areas in which they have difficulty and that by the end of the year they can read, write, transcribe, those who are already old enough to make an exhibition.- Also add, subtract, multiply and divide well.- We will take everyone to their chronological age of education.- lastly and most importantly, put the gospel in their hearts.
