Information services - a program that includes specialized newsletters, email alerts, and other sources designed to equip the biomedical research community with important news, accurate analysis of current threats to research, and up-to-the-moment issue awareness. The updates and security advisories, presentations, media training, and individual consultations offer stakeholders vital information to ensure continued Medical Progress.
Biomedical research awareness day (brad) - began as a hayre fellowship project and is now a program under rvsl. It was launched in 2016 to honor the roles of laboratory animals in the quest for new treatments and cures. Brad is hosted by universities, Medical and veterinary schools, research institutions, and others.
Raising voices, savings lives - the raising voices, savings lives (rvsl) campaign ignites and nurtures public appreciation for the importance of biomedical research in scientists' quest for treatments and cures for people and animals. This includes development of innovative advocacy resources that reach new audiences via their website and social media, dvds, posters, presentations, and exhibits illustrating the role of animal models in research.
Curioussciencewriters (csw) - a learning program for high school students with a passion for research and science writing. Launched to "advance the art of science communication," csw is an innovative, extracurricular activity that trains creative students to translate complex bioscience and engage the general public through the power of story.
Lab rat chat - a podcast dedicated to providing the public with factual information about the importance of humane and ethical animal research. It was made possible through the michael d. hayre fellowship in public outreach.
The michael d. hayre public outreach fellows (hayre fellowship) program - this program creates and implements projects designed to inform peers about the importance of animal-based research. Since 2008, the organization has sponsored at least one fellow per year. Recent fellows are responsible for many enduring programs, including an influential research advocacy blog, a resource website for veterinarians, and new ways to discuss animal research in classroom settings.
