Program areas at ASID
Meetings, events, and education - using the career path as its guide, asid curates in-person and online education and engagement for every stage of the Interior designer'Designers's career. In addition, asid participates in external tradeshows and events to deliver education around leadership, design, and business skills.
Government relations and public affairs - advocates on behalf of asid and the profession taking a position on a multitude of issues affecting the practice of Interior design. This includes the Interior designer'Designers's right to practice, federal building policy, and giving Interior design a voice on codes. Such issues might include ada accessibility guidelines, safety laws, historic preservation, ergonomics, resiliency, and sustainability.
Marketing and communications - develops strategies to communicate the asid brand and the Interior design profession to the public using communications, marketing, social media, and media relations tactics. Also includes expenses for communicating news and benefits to members through i+d magazine, and through various e-communications (e.g. Newsletters, eblasts, web, and social media).
