Program areas at AFIM
the American Friends of the Israel Museum supports approved projects at the Israel Museum, jerusalem. the three main areas of support are the fine arts, archaeology, and the youth wing. Support includes gifts of art, funding for special exhibitions, and funding for programming across the Museum's many departments. Public programs include things ranging from the Museum's annual kite flying festival to music in the galleries or sculpture garden. Youth wing programs include a teacher training program, a high school matriculation program, programs bringing jewish and arab youth together, programs for at risk teens, programs for families with special needs and much more. Annual support is also provided to subsidize Museum admission for students and soldiers.
