To support its educational and charitable purposes, aelp produced 23 reports and policy briefs, 7 comments to the federal trade commission, consumer financial protection bureau, and state attorney generals; filed 1 amicus brief; and launched and led multiple policy campaigns on key issues. To shape the narrative around addressing corporate power broadly and a number of policy goals specifically, aelp published 37 articles and op-eds, earned 535 print mentions and 87 tv and radio hits, established partnerships with allied organizations to produce videos with nearly 7 million social media views, supported staff newsletters with nearly 70,000 subscribers, and earned 125 million twitter impressions. Signature aelp coalitions include: ban secret deals, which called on legislatures to require transparency in corporate tax subsidy schemes in 4 states; break up ticketmaster, which drove 50,000 emails into the doj, which later announced an antitrust investigation, and a comment drive for the ftc and doj's effort to rewrite merger guidelines that generated 6,000 submissions.
