Program areas at ADF
To encourage and support the creation of new modern Dance work by both established and emerging choreographers; to preserve our modern Dance heritage through continued presentation of classic works, as well as through archival efforts; and to build wider national and international audiences for modern Dance. Adf presented 45 performances, 18 of which were commissioned, and 13 of which were world premiers. We had 12,656 in-person audience members.
To enhance public understanding and appreciation of the art form and its cultural and historical significance. Adf studios returned to a full schedule of in-person classes, summer camps, residencies, mater classes, and rehearsal space for the local community. Adf project Dance offered classes to over 400 participants.
To provide a sound scientific and aesthetic base for professional education and training of dancers and a forum for integrating and disseminating information of Dance education. Adf's summer intensives were attended by 185 students, 61% of whom received partial to full scholarships. Faculty and students came from 32 states and 10 countries.
