Program areas at American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
Conferences & educational programs - acoms returned with in person events during the tax period, including an annual scientific conference that was held in april 2022. Other in-person events included a hands-on facial cosmetic surgery course in january and a winter meeting in march. Acoms also organized a virtual Oral exam prep course to assist residents in preparing for their board examination. Acoms continued year-round virtual educational offerings under the acoms anywhere program that expanded its library of pre-recorded educational modules. The acoms anywhere content presents on contemporary topics important for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in all phases of their career, including on: head and neck procedures, surgical complications, implants, anesthesia and reconstruction.
Membership dues - acoms offers membership in several categories, including fellows, resident, associate, and international benefits for membership in acoms includes discounted registration for our annual meeting and cutting-edge hands-on training courses, subscription to the Oral surgery, Oral medicine, Oral pathology, Oral radiology (0000) journal, our monthly publication and access to 0000 online, access to the acoms career center, coe/cme tracker, and the ability to post a profile and search for other oms via our online directory, opportunity to serve on our distinguished board of regents, committees, and/or meeting faculty, amo discounted products and services through our approved partnership programs.
