Abtc offers the following certifications: certified clinical Transplant coordinator (cctc), certified procurement Transplant coordinator (cptc), certified clinical Transplant nurse (cctn), certified Transplant preservationist (ctp). Use of Certification credentials attests to the Transplant community and possesses the necessary knowledge and skills needed to provide quality care for Transplant donors.
Abtc has developed self-assessment exams that can help candidates prepare for the cctc, cptc, cctn exams. Sae's are 50 to 75 questions long and follow the same examination specifications as the actual Certification examination. The certified Transplant preservationist (ctp) offers a self-assessment exam (sae). The ctp sae includes 30 questions.
To maintain cctc/ctp/cptc/cctn status, individuals must accumulate 60 continuing education points for Transplant coordinators within a three-year period. The focus of this process is to foster education and a standard of competency within the Transplant profession.
