AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF POLICE POLYGRAPHIstS

The aapp has a membership of almost 1,000, of which 300-400 attend annual education seminars. The aapp distributes quarterly publications to members. The purpose of the aapp is to: develop the highest standards of proficiency in the polygraph profession by fostering and encouraging scientific training and research through advanced study and progressive techniques; promote and maintain the highest standards of ethics, integrity, honor and conduct in the polygraph profession; provide an opportunity and forum for the exchange of information regarding polygraph experiences, studies and research; cooperate with other national, regional and state polygraph associations and other professional organizations in matters of mutual interest and of benefit to the polygraph profession.

The American Association of Police Polygraphists, inc. sponsors four annual educational scholarship to any deserving and qualified graduating high school senior or student currently attending college. Individual pursuing any continuing education. The submitting applicant must be a child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or adopted or dependent child, sibling, or spouse. The applicant must have at least one parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt or legal guardian or spouse who is a full, life, or honorably retired member in good standing with the aapp.
