Annual meeting: the aao-hnsf annual meeting & oto expo is the world's most prestigious gathering of otolaryngologist-head and Neck surgeons. The meeting and oto expo is attended by over 6,000 global physicians, researchers and allied health professionals who gather to review the latest research, collaborate with colleagues and participate in hundreds of hours of otolaryngology-head and Neck specific continuing medical education.
Guidelines and quality improvement: through the development of evidence-based guidance that is updated and refined based on feedback from our current practice data, we empower physicians to provide the best patient care.
Education: the Foundation presents a wide range of educational initiatives aimed at increasing the quality of patient outcomes through supporting knowledgeable, competent, and professional physicians. The Foundation curates the knowledge base and then conducts the planning and production of educational activities for the specialty as well as outreach efforts for non-otolaryngologist physicians and allied health professionals. Education is conducted through live events, subscription products, online activities, print and e-publications and mobile applications.
Research: promote research in current topics in Otolaryngology and administer a research grant program for residents and practitioners.
Communications: publications of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the latest peer-reviewed articles, literature reviews, and case reports on developments in the treatment of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the Head and Neck. Special supplements include clinical practice guidelines and other topics.
