Program areas at American Academy of Orofacial Pain
Continuing education conference: aaop held an annual dental continuing education conferencein april 2022 and provided an online learning subscription that provided an opportunity for members and other professionals to access over 60 hours of continuing dental accreditation. The aaop is an approved dental provider of the Academy of general dentistry (agd) and a recognized specialty of the American dental association (ada). The aaop also continues to plan for and incur expenses for future years' meetings As part of its continuing education program.
The aaop provides educational grants to worthy research projects and in support of poster presentations at the annual scientific meeting
The aaop produces 2 patient education brochures for distribution by its members to patients which is also made available to patients at no charge via its website
The aaop developed educational guidelines for the care and treatment of Orofacial Pain, and a journal of Orofacial Pain and headache, that was published by quintessence publishing. The next edition will be published in 2023.
The aaop offers a complimentary online discussion forum for its members.
