Program areas at Amaanah Refugee Services
Teach 360 supports refugee and immigrant students by providing language coaches in schools. These coaches help students transition into American education while addressing their emotional needs. The program also engages families by communicating in their native languages, fostering a strong home-school connection, and helping students succeed.
Amaanah's Women's Empowerment Program started in 2021, helps immigrant and refugee women by pairing them with mentors who share their language. The progarm offers English lessons, job preparation, financial aid and career coaching. This support empowers women to adapt, thrive and build better futures in their new communities.
The Amaanah Lions Youth Soccer Program supports young adults resettling in Houston by using sports to build community, promote health, and foster relationships. Activities include weekly training, healthcare support, mentorship, and scholarships. The diverse team embodies resilience and provides a safe space for refugee youth, promoting equity and inclusion.
Amaanah works with various community partners to offer clients a holistic range of services to meet their broad range of needs.
