Alliance Medical Ministry

Alliance Medical Ministry provides affordable access to primary healthcare to more than 2,100 working but uninsured adults in wake county. The average Alliance patient lives at 158% of the federal poverty level and a family of three survives on 37,000 per year. More than 115,000 residents of wake county do not have healthcare. Alliance serves as a safety net provider for these individuals. More than half of Alliance patients suffer from at least one chronic disease such as diabetes, hypertension or obesity. 73% of Alliance patients report fewer trips to the er and 64% report fewer hospital admissions which has a tremendous impact on community health. Alliance provides holistic care for body, mind and spirit and provides primary Medical care and mental health and pastoral care counseling to patients. Alliance educates patients about nutrition and wellness and employs a registered dietitian and a full time social worker to assist patients in navigating the social determinants of health and barriers to Medical access. In fy23, Alliance had 10,790 holistic patient encounters.
