Alliance Francaise D'atlanta

Part of a worldwide network that teaches 500,000 students per year in 136 countries, Alliance Francaise atlanta is the premier french language school and cultural center of the metro atlanta area. We offer private and group classes of all levels of french to individuals and businesses, including the cdc, care, the carter center and delta air lines. Our operations were significantly affected by covid-19, which forced the closure of in-person classes and events after march 17, 2020. We managed to continue meeting our mission by transferring our classes and some of our events into an online format. Adult language classes: the language school had approximately 500 students registered in classes in 2021 and offered classes from the beginner to the most advanced level, such as conversation classes, as well as special workshops on cultural aspects of france or francophone countries. The Alliance franaise also offers corporate and private language classes. Our bilingual and professionally trained instructors focus on building students' oral communication skills, while also teaching competency in reading and writing. Children's programs: the Alliance Francaise offered bebe and petite Alliance programs for toddlers. These programs enhance children's natural ability to learn language by providing a structured routine that is both dynamic and interactive. These classes started back up in may 2021.

Alliance franaise adapted its cultural programming to an online format, participating in the annual francophonie celebration and presenting online film screenings. Particular emphasis was given to our collaboration with the goethe zentrum as we launched the first year of our joint cultural programming around the topic of climate crisis and contemporary culture. This programming began on line with an international panel from germany, france and the united states. In december, we collaborated with Georgia institute of technology and the french cultural services-villa albertine to present live theater programming.
