The organization conducts public communications and builds grassrootsto influence policymaking outcomes through grassroots mobilization andadvocacy. The focus of these advocacy efforts may include legislation,budget priorities, regulations, public hearings and investigations, andother policymaking activities. The organization also engages citizensto participate in grassroots advocacy on pending legislative issuesthrough paid advertising, mailings, e-mails, and web-based advocacytools.

One Nation conducts research to determine how various demographic groups respond to current national policy issues, what priorities and concerns they have, and which public policy issues they might be most inclined to take action on through grassroots participation. One Nation also sponsors in-depth policy research on significant issues, especially those that are currently under-reported but are likely to have a substantial impact on government policymaking in the future.
