Program areas at Allen Broussard Conservancy
The Conservancy acquires environmentally sensitive land for the purpose of creating nature preserves. Once the land is acquired it is used for educational purposes and as a nature preserve as well as Florida heritage preservation
Summer camp for girls in environmental studies
Conservation- preserve and protect the fragile ecosystems of Florida's native wilderness. Provide safe homes for the native species, both plants and animals. See statement 15
Land acquisition/ protection- the Conservancy acquires environmentally sensitive land for the purpose of creating nature preserves. Acquired 7 parcels in 2022. See stmt 16
Educational activities- field trips for student groups of all ages. No additional expenses. Volunteer labor + access to 4,400 acres. See statement 17
Eye of the horse is an equine-assisted learning educational program.
Livestock for education helps people connect with other species.
The herd was sold to reduce expenses.
