Program areas at ACPC
Child care and education quality included child care resource & referral, and dcdee provider training. 130 child care providers received trainings and technical assistance for improving quality by attending at least 1 of the 50 workshops offered.
Family support services included circle of parents, raising a reader, and reach out & read. 11 parents attended circle of parents support group with 23 Children attending circle of parents. Books and other supplies purchased for the raising a reader program. 7 facilities with 15 classrooms participated in the program. 218 Children took home weekly literacy backpacks. 2 medical practices participated in the reach out & read program. 102 Children received a culturally- and developmentally-appropriate book to take home and read. Community awareness and education raises the community's awareness and support of smart start and the Partnership's current activities. 220 families attended outreach events, 33 agencies collaborated with the Partnership.
Nc pre-kindergarten program is a high quality pre-k program that served 4 year old Children and prepares them for success in school. 68 Children served in 5 classrooms. All Children served by a 4 or 5 star classroom.
Health and safety included child safety programs. 53 car seats were inspected and 30 car seats provided under the child safety program.
