ANTHC was formed to manage statewide health services for Alaska Natives. All Alaska Natives, through their tribal governments and through their regional nonprofit organizations, own the Consortium.
Program areas at ANTHC
Alaska Native medical center - a 173 bed facility provides in-patient, medical and support services.
Tribal support services - provides professional recruiting, and business office development services, scholarship programs regional supply center for medical and pharmaceutical supplies to Health care facilities and providers in Alaska, and telemedicine - this pilot program is to develop technical medical care and assistance via distance delivery.
Environmental Health and engineering - provides direct assistance and support in the development and construction of quality water and sanitary waste disposal systems; provides technical assistance for occupational Health and safety, employee Health, recruiting, and environmental impact issues; responsible for transfer of funds for renovation and improvement of Health facilities.
