Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA)

Amsea offers Marine Safety courses to the public throughout Alaska and in various locations in the contiguous 48 states. Courses require active participation in hands-on training. During this reporting period, 1,025 students trained in drill conductor classes; 46 instructors trained in the Marine Safety instructor training; 1,024 students trained in cold water Safety and survival; 194 students trained in ergonomics (injury prevention); 195 trained in mariner's first aid; 366 trained in stability and other fishing vessel Safety topics; and 411 trained in recreational boating Safety.
