Alamo Navajo School Board, Inc. (ansbi) provides medical, dental, optometry, pharmacy services, laboratory services, community wellness and diabetes programs to the Alamo Navajo reservation community through a public law 93-638 indian self-determination and education assistance act with the us department of health and human services. There are approximately 2,300 residents on the reservation at this time.
Ansbi provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition through the headstart and early headstart programs.
Ansbi provides School programs to the Alamo Navajo reservation for k-12 students through a public law 93-638 indian self determination and education assistance act contract.
Ansbi received funding to assist the Alamo Navajo reservation with natural resource management. Ansbi expends funds received as payments for third-party billings (medicare, medicaid, insurance) to offset the cost of providing services. Ansbi transferred funds from its general fund to assist with expenditures of the programs. Ansbi receives funding from the federal and state government for workforce training and placement services. Ansbi participates in the national School lunch program providing nutritionally balanced, low-cost or free lunches to children each School day. Ansbi receives federal and state grants to provide adult education, special education and rehabilitation services. Ansbi receives funding to operate a public service radio station on the reservation. Ansbi provides diabetes screening, treatment and education for the Alamo Navajo reservation. Ansbi receives various other small grants to provide services to the Alamo Navajo reservation residents, such as water and housing. Ansbi receives a grant from health and human services to develop socio- economic improvement programs for native americans. Ansbi received grants to provide road maintenance for the reservation. Ansbi receives funding from the Navajo nation to provide childcare services.
