Program areas at Al Wooten Jr. Youth Center

The Center provides SAT Test instruction and afterschool and summer programs for 301 students in grades three through 12 at its facility and other sites and scholarships for deserving college students. Activities include academic assessments, homework assistance, individualized tutoring, instruction in world languages and cultural awareness, mentoring and job placement, and college advisement, college and career days, gang prevention discussion groups, percussions, arts and crafts, field trips, basketball and other recreational activities.
