Program areas at AIESEC United States
Professional internships are the most intense learning experience Aiesec offers. The professional internships also link Aiesec's global network together. Aiesec provides students with a challenging opportunity to live and work in a foreign country in areas of business and management; information technology; and engineering, education, and development. Aiesec attracts and cultivates young people with global mindsets while giving companies and other organizations an opportunity to interact and access young talent from all corners of the globe.
Aiesec is authorized by the United States department of state to sponsor j-1 exchange visitor trainees, and it uses this authority to expand the value of its organization and its services to human resource departments and immigration legal counsel.
Aiesec's primary objective is to be a platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential for a positive impact on society. Aiesec enables young people to have a leadership experience by managing their own local committees and acquiring experience in running an organization. Aiesec hosts numerous meetings and conferences to focus on training of its membership. These trainings include soft skill development, such as team management, as well as training on the technical side of running the exchange program.
