Program areas at AFL-CIO - Working for America
Outreach, education, member recruitment and mobilization: through strength in numbers, provide a collective voice to approximately 5 million members and 15 million Working people on economic issues and concerns; empower Working families in their communities and in the nation through strength in numbers; promote the freedom to organize in the workplace and bargain collectively.
Program infrastructure: including but is not limited to canvassing and communications platforms and tools
Research and analysis: research aimed at understanding what are the priorites of Working people in the united states and how to best advocate for them economically and analysis aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness.
Access to public services: facilitate access to information about access to public programs (e.g. Rental assistance, low income home energy assistance program) to support the economic well-being of Working America members and other Working people.
