Program areas at Adeso

To address the catastrophic effects of the prolonged drought from 2001-2011 which left nearly four million people without adequate sources of food and water, Adeso initiated a project in kenya called resilience and economic growth in arid lands - improving resilience (regal-ir). The project aims to reduce hunger and poverty, increase social stability, and build strong foundations for economic growth by supporting the government of kenya and donor efforts to strengthen social, economic, and environmental resilience among pastoral and transitioning communities.adeso also provided programmatic and financial support to engage in famine relief and prevention effords in somalia.
