Program areas at Adelante Hispanic Achievers

Fall 2023, Adelante's theme was learn and develop, focusing on equipping students with valuable skills applicable to their daily lives. Workshops included a technology workshop, where students learned about internet safety and cybersecurity and save the world day which covered topics like global warming, fast fashion, recycling, an animal conversation. Mental health lou also provided a workshop on mental health awareness and the importance of seeking help. Spring 2024, theme was mindfulness emphasizing the importance of mental, physical, and emotional health. Students participated in mediation workshops to learn daily mindfulness techniques and partnered with the loucity and racing foundation for sessions on physical health and teamwork. Educational trips to frazier history museum and a tour of the state capital helped students appreciate historical and political contexts. The semesters activities aimed to provide students with comprehensive strategies for maintaining their coverall well-being,college corps program, students participated in college visits, paired/worked with mentors through fafsa, essays, admission process, and scholarship application process. After school online tutoring, where students received extra support in specific subjects during school year. Adelante clubs, 100% participation where students selected a specific club to participate in: music club, was a six-week program learned to play guitar and read music. Youth board consisted of students who met on monthly provided insights into programming. Girls speak, participants developed a wide range of skills focused on building relationship within the group and created and preparation of a play. Six-week summer program, where students were exposed to the development of life skills, teamwork, leadership through sports and music. Fy23 results: average attendance rate for aha programming 92%, aha student's average gpa 3.34, 96.8 school attendance rate, 100% high school graduation rate, 96% graduates have pursued secondary education, and 75% graduates were awarded scholarships with our college allies.
