Actionsteps Counseling

The program continues to provide substance use treatment for those facing criminal sentences due to their substance use disorder. This year, at the request of the state, the agency requested further funding from the state of Oklahoma and it was denied. Re-entry has been the focus of the year by providing in custody screens for program admission. Drug testing has been on site at the treatment facility to ease the transportation issues of those served. One employee has been hired as an adjunct professor at oru in the masters Counseling program and has attracted several students to work as case managers. The case manager position has been more clearly defined to expedite clients obtaining responsivity needs. The agency has found a transported to escort clients from the jail to agencies to obtain legal documents.
