Program areas at Act To Change
On May 18, 2023, Act To Change host its 5th annual national AAPI Day Against Bullying and Hate with the support of municipalities, elected officials and partner organizations. The day was chosen to honor the birthday of Vincent Chin, whose murder in a hate crime in 1982 sparked a national uprising. There was an online virtual celebration and an in-person community reception.
Technical operations for Hate Is A Virus, which continues to amplify, educate and activate AAPI to stand for justice and equality in solidarity with other communities.
Act To Change's Youth Ambassadors Program (YAP) engages and empowers Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) youth by providing them the resources and tools they need to end bullying in their communities through meaningful conversations, diversification of libraries, and faculty and school administrator engagement.
