Program areas at Able Force
Able Force, Inc. provides services, consultation and related activities that provide gainful employment and inclusive environments for PWDS (People with Disabilities), increases the resource connectivity between community organizations, employers and PWDS, independently and in conjunction with qualified third-party organizations. This is to further the awareness of and benefits to the community in maximizing employment opportunities, resources, programs, and services directed to PWDS, community-based organizations, businesses, commercial interests and the military. Able Force provides mentorship and educational training to all its employees. Educational, training and outplacement workshops are provided through a combination of professional staff, volunteers and other third parties. These workshops are of great civic and social benefit to both the disabled community and the employment community because it will allow both sides to become more aware of the employment hardships affecting the disabled community and to become more aware of the advantages of employing a person with a disability and the opportunities that are available. "Warriors to Work" is a part of the Wounded Warrior Recovery Program and centers on reorientation, adaptive skills and socialization. Warriors to Work supplements and supports the wounded warrior's current case management and social services. Program placement is coordinated in conjunction with the approval of the wounded warrior's command, clinical staff and transition services team. The goal of the program is for participants to gain experience and confidence in a progressive and supportive setting prior to their transition into the civilian community.
