Program areas at Ability Beyond Disability
Residential Continuum of Care: Ability Beyond's residential programs create nurturing families; providing care and support for every age and stage of appropriate to support the individuals we serve. They also foster dignity and self-respect that are foundations for ecomomic and social success. During Fiscal Year 2022-2023 our residential programs suppoted over 400 individuals in Connecticut and New York State through supported independent living, and group residences for various levels of care (including senior supports) required for their safe, secure and happy enviroment. These programs are also supported by life-skills classes, recreations activities that take place for participating residents attending our day programs in Connecticut and New York. Independent Living Supports: Everyone deserves a say in how they live, work and participate in their communities. We help people with disabities have that say, by learning about their personal goals and setting a path to reach them. Our supports range from educational to recreational, life-skills instruction, transportation, and medical care to addiction recovery services and more. (please see complete narrative on attachment A)
