The Abilities Foundation raises money in support of Abilities, Inc. of Florida. Abilities, Inc. of Florida is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization with a mission to facilitate services and partnerships to support people with disabilities, their families, their caregivers and community members in order to build more inclusive communities.abilities, Inc. of Florida provides the following programs and services:- vocational Rehabilitation core services providing employment services to include job development, supported and affirmative employment for more than 14,050 individuals in fy19.- a full range of Rehabilitation and employment supports including vocational evaluation, work adjustment training, job coaching, supported employment and specialized programs. Community based employment services were provided to more than 1,500 individuals in fy19.- warrior bridge providing direct employment, job placement, housing services and the warrior bridge veterans mall, which provides necessary household items and business clothing at no cost for wounded veterans and their families. - high school high tech youth transition program, is a community-based partnership that provides high school students with disabilities the opportunity to explore jobs and post-secondary education leading to technology-related careers. - work incentive planning and assistance providing benefits counseling and work incentive counseling. - pre-employment transition services, to prepare students with disabilities to transition into the workforce or continuing education after graduation.- opportunity calls, a contact Center and customer service training program, creates employment opportunities and provides career-track training for veterans and people with disabilities.- homes for independence providing affordable, accessible and safe housing for persons with low incomes and/or disabilities.- interpreter services coordinates interpreter services for people who are deaf and supports local vocational Rehabilitation offices with on-site, staffed interpreters through a contract with the Florida division of vocational Rehabilitation.
