Powerback, is A teen dating abuse prevention initiative that reaches high school students, faculty, counseling staff, parents, guardians, and caregivers. Apfc provided 89 outreach presentations reaching 3,153 high school students in nj. 55 counseling sessions were provided during 2024 for teen victims.
Dv-sos (domestic violence - support on site) provides outreach presentations (and crisis intervention, if needed) to social service agency staff and clients. 52 webinars were conducted reaching 696 social service agency personnel in nj; 35 counseling sessions were also provided to victims of ipv.
Prep (police response enhancement program) and leo/ in-service are programs that impact training for law enforcement professionals; 28 classes were conducted reaching 509 police officers from 93 departments in 20 counties in new jersey.
Data (domestic abuse training & assistance) provides training for school counselors on how to help victims of dating abuse or students exposed to abuse at home. Apfc conducted 11 webinars reaching 198 school counselors from 107 schools in 20 counties in new jersey.ipva (intimate partner violence advocate) - certification series is A six-part series presented annually; it provides continuing education credits for social workers, licensed professional counselors and advocates in the field of domestic violence. Apfc provided 5 webinars; 30 social work professionals attended one or more classes with 25 of them attending the entire series and receiving the certification.fee-paid programs: apfc provided 8 presentations reaching more than 503 teens and 71 social service personnel. Pro bono presentations: apfc conducted 2 presentations reaching more than 200 community members.
